KEF introduces its revolutionary META technology (Metamaterial Absorption Technology) to the popular Q series, and along with other enhancements derived from reference models, it pushes the boundaries of premium sound to a more accessible price level. The Q series has been fine-tuned with the latest 12th-generation Uni-Q drivers and a completely new crossover design, which improves response and delivers a more natural and detailed sound.
The most significant advancement in the Q series is the award-winning META technology, which elevates the performance of the 12th-generation Uni-Q drivers to new levels of accuracy, clarity, and detail, ensuring a more natural acoustic presentation. The Uni-Q drivers have been redesigned to maximize the benefits of MAT technology, offering even better performance. Lower distortion in the tweeter is achieved through the MAT absorber and a 250% increase in the rear chamber size, reducing acoustic pressure and allowing for more linear operation.
The mid-bass driver, with Shadow Flare technology inspired by KEF’s flagship Blade model and other reference designs, disperses vibrations before sound reaches the speaker cabinet. This minimizes acoustic impact, allowing the tweeter to fully realize its potential. As a result, even subtle nuances of instruments are heard more clearly in complex musical passages.
