A ticket to affordable high-end D/A converters with key technologies and tradition of Musical Fidelity. The design is based on a powerful super-quiet power supply selected for digital audio with a robust aluminum chassis component that effectively protects against external electromagnetic interference. Not only aesthetically but also functionally, the front panel is made and milled from an extruded aluminum profile.
The M3x DAC uses converters from the renowned company in the hi-fi industry Burr Brown (PCM1795), which allows all PCM signals to be converted to a resolution of 192 kHz. The up-sampling performed in this sophisticated and clean implementation allows achieving the lowest level of distortion, thereby enhancing your experience from digital sources. DSD files can be played up to a resolution of DSD256, which are played in their original format.
The Musical Fidelity M3x DAC is equipped with a total of five digital inputs (2x coaxial, 2x optical, USB B), which allow connecting any modern external audio source with a digital output. For analog output, the converter is equipped not only with RCA but also with balanced XLR connectors for connection to high-end amplifiers. This excellent DAC offers excellent sound quality with very low noise and exceptionally low distortion.
