Digital
Digital audio cables are most commonly divided into three categories. The most well-known and probably the most used digital audio cable is the optical one, which we mainly see used in TVs, AV receivers, and integrated amplifiers. However, this connection is slowly being replaced by the audio-video cable HDMI with the help of the eARC function. Another significant digital audio cable is the coaxial one. This type of cable is widely used in audio components such as CD players, streamers, BD/DVD players, etc. Its advantage lies in its ability to transmit higher sound quality; in terms of surround sound, it has the same properties as the optical one (DTS, Dolby Digital). Another option is the use exclusively in the audio segment in connection with D/A converters, which is considered the best possible transmission of digital signal. This is a USB cable with the most commonly used USB connectors: A, B, C.
