Matrix Audio CAT6 is made of multi-strand conductors (four pairs) that are twisted together. Each individual conductor contains seven strands with a diameter of 0.16 mm OFC with effective shielding. The outer layer is made of tinned copper wire braid, which serves to isolate crosstalk and external interference. For maximum protection against external interference, double shielding in the braid is used.
