The high-end audio component Matrix Audio Element X2 is designed with maximum emphasis on performance and flexibility for users. The interior of this streamer is carefully organized into two main sections - one dedicated to the NXP i.MX 6Quad Cortex-A9 processor and the other for digital audio processing. These separate sections are isolated from each other to eliminate digital noise and mutual interference. The quality of digital audio processing is a key factor for the resulting sound quality, and the Element X2 boasts a top-notch ultra-low phase noise Crystek CCHD-950 chip, which contributes to the realism of sound and detail accuracy. This chip also allows for the choice between Asynchronous and Synchronous modes. The ES9038PRO D/A converter is used for converting the digital signal to an analog signal.

Equipment and flexibility 

The Element X2 is designed to be easily integrated into various audio systems. It has many digital inputs including 2x Coaxial, 2x Optical, USB B, and proprietary IIS LVDS for connecting external audio-video devices. There is also an analog RCA input and modern HDMI ARC for better sound from the TV. For playback from portable storage devices such as flash drives or HDDs, a USB C input is also available, allowing the creation of a hi-fi hub with high-quality sound processing. The Element X2 has a preamplifier with analog amplification of +10dB (up to 15.8 VRMS) and, thanks to Hyper-Control technology, maintains extremely low noise and distortion, allowing connection to a power amplifier without the need for an additional preamplifier. It is also equipped with a premium fully balanced headphone amplifier for users who value low distortion and minimal noise. The fully balanced amplifier is constructed from 8 independent amplification units, resulting in very low distortion and noise.

Clear display

This streamer has a clear 3.46-inch touch LCD display that allows you to view all information about the currently playing track and adjust settings according to your preferences. The front panel is also equipped with a control knob for convenient volume adjustment.

Simple and reliable control:

Matrix Audio streamers use their own control application, which you can easily download from the App Store or Google Play. This application is designed to provide the most efficient and convenient way to control your music experience. With this app, you can control your favorite music streaming services including TIDAL, Qobuz, and HIGHRESAUDIO, listen to internet radio stations, play your own music files via DLNA/UPnP, and use popular features like AirPlay 2, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, and TIDAL Connect. The app is regularly updated to ensure smooth operation. For basic control functions, an elegant aluminum remote control is also available.
