Top-notch construction and hardware

Compared to the top model Element X2, it does not have a headphone amplifier, allowing the hardware arrangement inside the component to be utilized at a higher level. The dual construction of the streamer features two ES9039PRO D/A converters, enabling mono mode operation for each channel separately. Combined with the top-notch ultra-low phase noise Crystek CCHD-950 chip, digital signal timing is significantly improved and can also operate in Asynchronous or Synchronous mode. The fully symmetrical separated construction works in parallel, effectively improving dynamic range and reducing sound distortion. The digital processing and D/A converter circuit is precisely isolated, with the grounding wire of the digital and analog parts completely separated.

Internal arrangement for the most transparent sound

The analog part is completely covered with CNC aluminum shielding, which effectively ensures heat dissipation of operational amplifiers and isolates interference. The main X2 Pure filter capacitors are used from the KG series by Nichicon, known for their low resistance and inductance, helping to achieve greater dynamics even at lower frequencies. The toroidal transformer is modified with silver-plated output wires with Teflon insulation, resulting in lower resistance and thus increasing the efficiency and response speed of the transformer. To eliminate unwanted vibrations and significantly help achieve greater transparency and sound purity, a durable robust chassis with CBVB pads containing 6 ceramic balls and silicone rubber absorbing vibrations is used.

Equipment and flexibility 

The X2 can easily be used as a standalone preamplifier, equipped with many digital inputs (2x Coaxial, 2x Optical, USB B, and IIS LVDS) for connecting external audio-video components, including one analog RCA input. It also features modern HDMI ARC for maximum enhancement of stereo sound from the TV. For playback from portable storage (flash drive, HDD), there is a USB C input, allowing you to easily create a hi-fi central with high-end sound processing quality. The X2 features a preamplifier section with an analog gain of +10dB (up to 15.8 VRMS) combined with Hyper-Control technology, maintaining extremely low noise and distortion, allowing it to be connected to the final stage without the need for another preamplifier.

Clear display

The new generation Matrix Audio music streamer features a clear 3.46-inch touch LCD display, allowing you to view all information about the currently playing track or adjust settings according to your preferences. The front panel also includes a control knob for volume adjustment.

Simple and reliable control:

Matrix Audio streamers use their own freely downloadable control app (iOS, Google Play) developed for the most efficient and comfortable use for selecting the music to be played. With the MA player, you can control popular high-resolution music streaming apps (TIDAL, Qobuz, and HIGHRESAUDIO) via smartphones or tablets, listen to internet radio stations (vTuner and Radio Paradise), play your own music files through DLNA/UPnP, and last but not least, use popular connections like AirPlay 2, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, and TIDAL Connect. The MA Remote App is regularly updated for the smoothest and most stable use. For basic functions, you can conveniently use the supplied elegant aluminum remote control.
