Thanks to its design, the MP-1 preamplifier boasts a high dynamic range, a warmer character with many details even at higher frequencies. The preamplifier's design is based on a fully symmetrical design. The main amplification unit consists of four independent fully symmetrical amplifiers, meaning each channel is handled by two amplification units. This concept allows the resulting signal to be converted to bipolar even in RCA input mode, effectively suppressing noise and ensuring dynamic performance. Smooth and precise control is provided by 64 precise resistors with an accuracy of 0.001 + 32 fast-switching relays. This control method not only minimizes any impact on sound quality but also ensures excellent consistency between both channels. 

The MP-1 preamplifier is equipped with 3 pairs of RCA inputs and 3 pairs of XLR inputs with the ability to independently adjust the volume for each input. This ensures that all connected inputs can remain at the same level, preventing volume differences when switching between different sound sources. On the output, the MP-1 features a pair of RCA outputs and two pairs of XLR outputs, which can be used simultaneously, allowing up to 4 power stages to be connected, or the volume of each output can be individually adjusted.

One of the most important elements of any audio component is the power supply, and the preamplifier is no exception. The MP-1 is equipped with 60W powerful toroidal transformers, which feature technology with square copper wires for better current capacity and lower resistance, resulting in better transient response and richer low frequencies. Each transformer powers the left and right channels separately.

All the listed hardware components are housed on a 20 mm CNC aluminum plate, which is attached to a unique design construction that was specially designed, developed, and adapted for the Matrix Audio M series. It is a frame, or if you prefer, an H-shaped construction that brings optimal stability and elimination of interference between circuits.
