The AVID Pellar entry-level phono amplifier is based on the more expensive Pulsus model and offers 3 gain levels for MM cartridges and high and low gain for MC cartridges.

Pellar has an integrated power supply but still maintains a very low noise level, which is not common for similar devices. It also features gold-plated RCA connectors taken from the Pulsus preamplifier and simple gain adjustment at the bottom of the sturdy construction. The cartridge resistance is set to 47k, which is suitable for MM cartridges. On the rear panel, you will find RCA connectors to adjust the resistance value according to the cartridge you are using if the factory setting is not suitable. This allows for great flexibility and accuracy. Passive RIAA circuits use high-end capacitors, which help maintain reproduction linearity.
