After thirty years of extensive research and testing, Nordost has perfected the award-winning patented technique called Mono-Filament technology, which creates a virtual air dielectric by winding a filament in a precise spiral around each individual conductor, resulting in an outer "sleeve" of FEP insulation. This technology minimizes contact with the conductor and increases signal propagation speed, accuracy, and mechanical damping. Further refinements in manufacturing processes have reduced high-frequency impedance resonance.
