Design
The R Meta series brings functional speaker construction combined with KEF's latest technologies, resulting in speakers with excellent acoustic properties and a beautiful, clean design without screws and unnecessary openings. The entire series is available in two glossy finishes and classic wood veneer. Each finish is matched with the color of the drivers and stands for the best result.
Grilles
The R series speakers are designed for the best sound performance, which is not affected by the unique microfiber grilles. Technology
All models in the R Meta series boast several original features that you won't find in other speakers.
KEF Metamaterial Absorption Technology (Meta) is a patented technology developed by KEF to improve the sound performance of speakers. This technology uses a new generation of materials designed to effectively absorb unwanted sound waves in the speaker. Specifically, it deals with waves created at the back of the speaker that could reflect off surrounding walls and re-enter the speaker, causing sound performance distortion. KEF Meta material can absorb these waves and subsequently disperse them, reducing the unwanted effects of reflections and improving sound clarity. KEF Meta technology is used in several speaker series, including the R3 Meta bookshelf speakers.
