Don't be fooled by the size!

Deep and voluminous bass is no longer the privilege of massive and non-compact subwoofers. Thanks to a wide range of proprietary new technologies, such as Uni-CoreTM or P-Flex, KEF has been able to design a new type of subwoofer named KC62. 

Size versus performance

The innovative Uni-Core technology redefines the required space for high-performance subwoofers needed for deep and precise bass. Through a creative approach and unique technologies, it has been possible to optimize the traditional “force-cancelling” arrangement, i.e., two drivers placed and moving opposite each other. Uni-Core delivers great performance known from voluminous subwoofers in a compact and all-carbon chassis.

P-Flex (inspired by origami)

Another groundbreaking and patented technology is called P-Flex. The special design of the surround around the driver allows the driver to move without restriction, reducing acoustic pressure and improving the resulting bass. 

Smart distortion reduction

For the best result, unwanted distortion must also be eliminated. The KC62 subwoofer can eliminate up to 75% of harmonic distortion thanks to an intelligent system that works in real-time and corrects distortion directly on the coils. This measurement is sensor-free and is also patented as an exclusive KEF technology.

Music Integrity Engine

The subwoofer's performance is controlled and enhanced by a special DSP designed directly in KEF's workshops. The DSP works with algorithms such as iBX (intelligent bass extension) and SmartLimiter, which monitors band clipping.

Performance, performance, performance!

The final piece is two amplifiers working in class D. Together they create a power of 1000W, providing an incredible level of bass control and unmatched performance when needed.
