Compared to the previous generation, the cable is more flexible and bendable, significantly reducing connector strain. The redesigned cable construction, including an improved shielding system, now ensures more stable and reliable data transmission. The individual cable conductors are twisted from 7 strands of 0.2 mm² OCC. The differential data conductors are carefully shielded with aluminum foil, providing insulation between data and power conductors and effectively reducing interference. The OFC braid and aluminum foil form a second layer of shielding to block external electromagnetic interference. The cable connectors are designed directly by Matrix Audio to accurately transmit the signal, reduce resistance, and effectively prevent oxidation. USB 2.0 certification allows speeds of up to 480 Mb/s.
Flexible use is enabled by three types of the most commonly used connectors (USB type A, B, C) suitable for connection to digital audio players, PCs, or mobile devices such as phones, tablets, or portable Hi-Res audio players. The Matrix Audio USB cable is available in two lengths: 1.2 m and 0.3 m.
